In 1995, about ten years later, Jensen attended a workshop for actors in Dallas, Texas where he was discovered by a talent agency and management firm from Los Angeles. Since they were impressed with his work, they quickly signed Jensen. They then encouraged Jensen to move to California after he finished high school at Berkner High School in Richardson.

Before Jensen moved to California, he appeared in the PBS series "Wishbone" which is taped in Dallas. After a few months living in L.A., he landed a guest star role on "Sweet Valley High". Soon after that role he landed a regular role on the NBC sitcom "Mr. Rhodes".

After his role on Mr. Rhodes, Jensen then got the role on "Days of Our Lives" playing Eric Brady.
